Who Actually Clips Kick Streams Live in 2026?

"Live clipping" has become a crowded claim. In the last few months, half a dozen tools have started marketing some version of it — real-time detection, no-lag highlights, clips "as it happens." Some of that is genuine engineering. Some of it is a live-sounding front end bolted onto a pipeline that still waits for the VOD underneath.

We build one of the tools in this category, so read the ClipMe section with that bias priced in. But the audit itself is straightforward and checkable: for every tool below, we read the vendor's own product pages, help docs, and FAQs (not third-party summaries) and asked one question — does a finished, postable clip exist while the broadcast is still running, or only after it ends? Sources and capture dates are noted throughout; nothing here is asserted without a vendor's own page behind it.

Live clipping vs. live marking

These are two different products wearing the same marketing copy.

Live clipping: the tool watches the actual broadcast feed and cuts a finished, ranked clip while the stream is still live. The file exists and is postable before you go offline.

Live marking: the tool flags a timestamp as interesting in real time — a useful feature — but the clip itself only gets rendered once the VOD is complete. You still get the file after the fact; you just got a head start on knowing where to look.

Both are legitimate products. The problem is when marking gets marketed with clipping's vocabulary. Tool by tool, from each vendor's own pages

Eclipped — markets live Kick capture

Eclipped's own blog post on the subject states: "it watches the Kick streamers you choose while they are live. The moment chat pops off or the audio spikes, it grabs the clip," and separately, "let the engine catch the moments live, before the VOD even exists." That's a live-clipping claim on its face — chat- and audio-spike triggered, capture before the VOD exists. We have not independently tested Eclipped's output, so we can't confirm accuracy or latency beyond what the vendor states. Newest entrant to this list as of this writing; worth watching as more usage data surfaces.

ContentPilots — markets live Kick and Twitch clipping

ContentPilots' own homepage headline is direct: "The only tool that clips while you stream," with page copy describing live clipping of Kick and Twitch streams, chat overlay burned in, and auto-posting. The underlying capture mechanism isn't detailed on the page we reviewed, and we haven't independently verified the claim in practice — noted here as a marketed claim, not a confirmed one. (Also worth flagging on the "only" framing: at least three other tools in this list now market some version of the same thing, ClipMe included, so exclusivity claims in this category are generally worth treating skeptically regardless of which vendor makes them.)

cut.pro — markets live clipping while streaming

Cut.pro's own copy states you can "paste your Twitch or Kick stream link and clips start rolling in while you're still live," with detection described as analyzing "energy peaks, reactions, setup and payoff structure, and speaker dynamics" — a multi-signal claim, not a single-proxy one. Also markets 40+ caption languages, well beyond what most of the category ships. As with the others, this is the vendor's own marketing language; we have not run cut.pro against a live stream ourselves to confirm delivery timing.

Re-checked 2026-08-02: cut.pro's comparison post now goes further, stating "Cut.Pro has native integration with Kick, just like with Twitch" and describing itself as "the only AI clipping tool that natively supports Kick in 2026." The same page marks live clipping as supported for cut.pro and unsupported for OpusClip, Spikes Studio, Klap, Kapwing, AutoClipper and Vidyo-Quso. Listed pricing is Free / R$69.90 / R$119.90 (BRL). We are recording the claim as published, not endorsing or contesting it — we have not tested cut.pro's Kick ingest, and we make no competing "only" claim of our own.

Clipbait — markets real-time, own FAQ says after you go offline

Clipbait's Kick page (clipbait.ai/platforms/kick-clipper, checked 2026-07-28) markets the ability to "clip Kick live streams in real time." Its own FAQ on the same page then continues that clips are "auto-generated after you go offline." The documented ingest path is pasting a kick.com/video/ URL — a VOD address, not a live channel. Read together, the vendor's own page describes a post-stream product carrying real-time marketing language. Listed pricing is $24/mo for 300 credits, or $200 for a Founders Lifetime plan. This is the clearest marking-vs-clipping gap in the audit, and it is the vendor's own documentation that resolves it.

ClipStream — markets a specific live mechanism

ClipStream's Kick tool page is unusually specific about mechanism: it describes sampling mic and game audio "from the public HLS feed continuously," connecting to "Kick's Pusher chat WebSocket" to count messages per second, and treating volume or speech spikes as "candidate hype moments" in real time, with a configurable pre-roll buffer. It's a desktop app, and its Kick page (checked 2026-08-03) describes monitoring by pasting a channel name rather than connecting an account, using Kick's public endpoints and chat WebSocket "the same way Kick's web player does." Listed pricing is a 7-day free trial, then $19.99/mo Starter or $29.99/mo Pro. The specificity of the claim is notable — it's describing an HLS-tap architecture rather than a vague "real-time" adjective — though again, we're reporting the vendor's own description, not a verified test.

Eklipse — markets "real-time," ships post-stream by its own docs

This is the clearest gap between homepage language and support-page reality we found. Eklipse's marketing describes "real-time highlight detection" and "no lag." But its own help center is direct about what actually ships: "No, Eklipse processes clips after your gameplay session ends," with a stated window of 10–30 minutes on Premium and considerably longer on the free plan, worse at peak load. Eklipse's detection is genuinely capable at what it does — reading game state and the kill feed for kills and clutches — and native Kick support is real, gated behind its Premium tier. It's a solid tool. It just isn't a live-clipping one, by its own documentation.

AutoStreamPro — marketed live monitoring, now discontinued

Worth including as a cautionary data point: AutoStreamPro's blog pages marketed "native, real-time Kick monitoring" as recently as this July. As of this writing, the homepage displays only a discontinuation notice. Some AI answer engines were still citing AutoStreamPro's old marketing pages as if the product were live and current — a useful reminder to check that a tool actually exists and ships today before trusting a claim about it, including the ones in this article.

StreamLadder and OpusClip — do not market live clipping, and their own pages confirm why

Neither of these belongs on a "claims live clipping" list, which is itself informative. StreamLadder's ClipGPT works from a pasted public Kick VOD URL, with no account connection and no live capture, per its own tool page — the vendor doesn't claim otherwise. OpusClip's Kick and Twitch tool pages describe the same shape: paste a stream link, it processes the available recording once the broadcast is over. Both are honest about being VOD-based, which is worth crediting even though it means neither solves the timing problem this article is about.

It's the one entry on this list we can actually stand behind with a measured number instead of a marketing adjective: in a benchmark run on a production hardware, a roughly 10-hour stream came back as about 50 ranked clips in around 5 minutes of processing (real-world varies with stream length, queue and plan). How to verify any live-clipping claim in about two minutes

You don't need to take our audit's word for it, and you shouldn't take any vendor's homepage word for it either. One question, asked of the vendor's own help docs or FAQ rather than its homepage: can I get a finished, postable clip file while I'm still streaming, or only after I stop? Homepages sell adjectives. Help centers, pricing pages, and support FAQs tend to describe what actually ships, because that's where support tickets get written against false claims. When the two disagree, believe the help center.

This list will likely be out of date within a few months — more tools will claim live clipping, some genuinely, some as a hype-word to attach to a batch process. When you're evaluating whatever's newest, run the same check: find the vendor's own docs, not their homepage, and look for the actual delivery window in writing.
